On the 1911 census the 13 year old Hercules Montagu Edwin Bradshaw, born Chiswick, London, was recorded as an "Inmate" at a School, Stubbington House, Stubbington, near Fareham, Hampshire.
Going back to the 1901 census the 3 year old Hercules M E was recorded at Park Road, Bexhill, Sussex. This was the household of his parents, Arthur E, (aged 36, Living on own means, and originally from Weymouth, Dorset) and Elizabeth, (aged 35 and from Kenilworth, Warwickshire). As well as Hercules, their other children at that time were:
Elizabeth E................aged 8..............born Richmond, Surrey
Kathleen B................aged 7...............born Weymouth, Dorset
Arthur W A.................aged 6..............born Bitterne, Hampshire
The family also have four live in servants.
In the London Gazette of the 23rd January 1917, Lt H H M E Bradshaw, (Hampshire Regiment, Special Reserve) to be acting Captain while commanding a Battalion. 13th December 1916.

In the London Gazette of the 4th April 1930 it is noted that Captain Hercules Montagu Edwin Bradshaw, M C, , Reserve of Officers, was to be Captain, 5th/7tth Battalion of the Hampshire Regiment with effect form the 5th April.

The death of a Hercules M E Bradshaw, aged 64, was recorded in the Droxford District of Hampshire in the January to March quarter of 1962. -
