Museums of History NSW - State Archives Collection It is only the map which is dated 1937; I don't know when the area was flooded; probably about 1960. But late 1930s seems about right for many of these photos for railway carriage decoration.

Great photo and love the map. I own a more recent version of the map. Also, I've uploaded a couple of my father's photos of Burragorang Valley in the 1950s to Flickr.

Now submerged under Warragamba Dam. I stayed at a guest house in the valley late 40s/early 50s. I remember on a "100 degree" day sitting in the bed - a shallow rocky section - of the adjoining Coxs River near where it joined the Wollondilly.
