    In the late 70's, GDC particpated in NASA's Space Shuttle studies. Shown here are GDC's orbiter and flyback booster concepts. GDC teamed with Rockwell in the Phase B Shuttle studies.GDC's flyback booster was eliminated by NASA in favor of solid rocket booster and Rockwell developed the Shuttle orbiter, along with being the System Integrator. GDC did build the orbiter mid-fuselage structure. Jerry Butsko
