He has a childish innocent face but no - I wouldn't trust him! I'm aware these are from the sessions of the courts at North Shields but they're showing a huge concentration of criminality around the Quayside there and several lodgings in the town. Saying that - North Shields back then may have looked a lot different to what we see today and I'd bet it had few other places that made the town. (off to check old maps now..)

Edit; Aside from the Meadowell Estate, Percy Main and Preston, the town has changed very little.
