  The building at the left is the derelict "Freemasons' Arms" pub, which was demolished in 1908. The ferries ran from the end of the Town Wall, well to the left of this picture. Notice the white building in Photo 693? Who writes these captions?

  This is San Francisco before the Bay Bridge and Aquatic Pier were built so it's definitely before 1937.
