The S.S. "Erringhi" was built for the Williams River Steam Navigation Co. at Clarence Town in the Hunter Valley in 1907. She was built by Shipwright Andrew Smith at a site adjacent to "Deptford" Shipyard on the Williams River.

I think this is Brooklyn, NSW. Railway mainline on the left, Dangar Island behind. See Google MapsStreetView - maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=Brooklyn,+NSW,+Australia&hl=...

The ferry on the right looks to me like the SS 'Phoenix'. Built 1899 for the NSW Public Works Department as a tug and staff ferry - later moved to the Hawkesbury as a ferry with altered superstructure. See comments and links here - And also this image at Brooklyn c.1910 - acms.sl.nsw.gov.au/album/ItemViewer.aspx?itemid=823320&am...

beachcomber australia I think you're right this looks like Brooklyn with Dangar Island behind, great work! Though I am not sure if that vessel is PHOENIX as the lettering on the top deck of the vessel is quite different, notice how there is lettering either side of the central lettering?
