I found the flats/houses (by mistake - I was looking for something else) - now called Dalgety Road. They look fairly unaltered. Google street view - maps.google.com.au/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&...

Great to know they still exist, thanks beachcomberaustralia.

More of the flats built as part of the reconstuction of the Rocks area at the beginning of the 20th century when the government compulsorily acquired all private wharves, homes and commercial properties in the Rocks, Dawes Point and Millers Point. The Workmen's Flats in Moore's Road were part of the same redevelopment. I am writing online a history of these wonderful buildings for millerspointcommunity.com.au website, and in particular I am searching for the original drawings of the High Street Flats that show how many of these flats integrated with the waterside redevelopment of wharves and storehouses. These drawings are somewhere in the State Archives and I have seen a poor copy, but not a larger scan. Please help if me find this plan if you can.

She seems devastated about this, but, she also has previous offences.. I've Googled Summervile, Durham City, and was surprised to see the properties are quite decent - her father being a butcher would likely have afforded to live there.

The slide is the wrong way around - the cathedral should be on the right of the picture
