They did. I shared them with him the last time I was there. He had only seen a couple of them before so they were a welcome surprise to him. Thanks so much for making these available to share his stories.

Daniel Botts That's great to hear. I can't take credit for providing the photos. That would be the SDASM. Apparently an anonymous donor provided them to the SDASM and they shared them here through their Flickr photostream. I just used some spare time trying to identify those in the photos through comments and "tags" so that they can be remembered and, maybe, members of their families could discover them while "Googling." To learn that you were able to find these photos and share them with him and your family is an outcome beyond my best hopes when I started tagging and commenting on them. I wish you and your family all the peace and comfort in the wake of Mr. Powell's loss, and I hope these photos will perpetuate his memory for many more years to come.
