It looks like an 1897 Léon Bollée Voiturette.

Well spotted Gerry it is almost certainly, as you say, a Voiturette. It is indeed a wonderful mode of conveyance and they took it very seriously all rigidly posed and staring straight ahead. Yet another beauty from NLI, thank you.

This is a challenging identification - nothing at TimesMachine, Chronicling America, various searches etc. Could this woman have been born in 1901? [1] [2] -- doesn't look like it to me, but I'm not a good judge of age.

I think that's possible. I couldn't find any mention of Pamela Coventry either, but The New York herald., May 01, 1921, Page 15, col. 3 reported that her cousin, Hon. George Coventry (1900-1940) was to wed Nesta Donne Philipps. Pamelas father, Charles John Coventry (1867-1929) and her mother Lily Whitehouse are mentioned in that article. The father of George Coventry was George William Coventry, Viscount Deerhurst, who married Virginia Lee Daniel, an American. The mother of Pamela Coventry, Lily Whitehouse was American as well. Pamela Coventry was probably present at this event.

B-59, if the photo date range is accurate that would mean she was 19 at the most in the above photo. (possibly a debutante photograph?)

I did find one fractured OCR reference to her first wedding in The Waco News-Tribune from Waco, Texas [Page 24] That, plus the 2 references in my earlier post would create the post below if it is the one-and-the-same Pamela Coventry ; )

Pamela Coventry (Pamela Elizabeth Coventry) (1901-1990) was a daughter of Colonel Hon. Charles John Coventry of London and Lily Whitehouse of Newport, RI, US. Pamela had 1 sister and 2 brothers: Lt.-Cdr. Charles William Gerald Coventry (1900-1941), Diana Bruen Coventry (1910-1990) and Francis Henry Coventry, 12th Earl of Coventry (1912-2004). In 1928 she married Lt.-Cdr. James George Greville Dugdale (1898-1964), son of Colonel Frank Dugdale and Eva Sarah Louise Greville. Among the wedding guests were Lady Astor and Countess Denbigh, formerly Miss Kathleen Emmet of New York. The couple also received gifts and a card from the King and Queen. Pamela Coventry's married name became Dugdale. They had one daughter, Mary Judy Dugdale (b.1929). They divorced in 1940. In April, 1940 Pamela married Captain Heneage Michael Charles Finch, 9th Earl of Aylesford (1908-1940), son of Captain Heneage Greville Finch, Lord Guernsey and Hon. Gladys Cecil Georgina Fellowes. He was killed in action a month later at age 31, during WWII. After her marriage, Pamela Elizabeth Coventry was styled as Countess of Aylesford, and her married name became Finch. There were no children from this marriage and the countess mainly resided during her long widowhood at Dorset House in Gloucester Place in London. She died in 1990 at the age of 88.
