    Power station beside the brewery? Or could it simply be a large boiler house for the brewing process??

    If your talking the building with the two chimneys on Corporation Street, I think it was something to do with the brewing. You Could look in the windows as you walked past.

    Note the trolley bus wires. It took some skill by the trolley bus driver to negotiate this junction of Elswick Road and Westgate Road. A slight misjudgement and the trolley would become "de-wired"

    AureliaB20GT Heard of the name but never known where it was. Cheers! [https://www.flickr.com/photos/pityarder] I was thinking the flats too - that or from scaffolding during their construction. It's hard enough driving a car through that junction never mind trying to keep wires joined..
