"L.C. Craigie," Laurence C. Craigie (1902-1994), would go on to have a distinguished career as an aviator and officer. He also holds the distinction of being the first American military jet pilot, piloting the Bell XP-59 Airacomet from Muroc Army Air Field (later, Edwards Air Force Base) on October 2, 1942.
