Claude, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry N. Rahn, was born on January 18, 1885 in Baltimore, Maryland. He married Imogene Evelyn Bubbett in 1913 in Baltimore, Maryland. His second marriage was to Elizabeth Shearer in 1941. He died August 18, 1973 in Vero Beach, Florida.

Imogene, standing in the middle, was born on December 24, 1881 in Quincy, Illinois as the daughter of James Harper Bubbett & Evelyn Trickett Bubbett. She married Claude J. Rahn in 1913 and died on September 14, 1932 in Estero, Florida.

Guiding Star Publishing House, established in 1888, published several Koreshan tracts including The Flaming Sword, The American Eagle, and The Guiding Star. Operations moved from Chicago to Estero in 1903 and continued into the mid-20th century.
