    Volvo didn't make many cars in the early years- mostly trucks. Their best sales year before the war was about 2000 units. This is a rare one.

    oaktree_brian_1976 Yes Brian, thats what struck me too, the building would not be out of place in a present day planned town but the cafe beside it looks ancient!

    The town hall looks indeed quite modern, still it was built in 1938, created by the Swedish architects Yngve Ahlbom and Nils Sterner. It was made in red brick - a tradtional building material in Halmstad. /Anna B.
