My great-grandfather was one of the sinkers at this colliery his name was Richard Lathlane. Great historical photo thanks for listing it.

When the new shopping centre was built they erased a lot of history. Sure there were run down parts but to remove parts of the square was unforgiveable. And not a single long leatther coat in sight!
