This is a tricky one... Robert Casari states it was a D.VII and Peter Bowers says C.I Both of them researched US Archives from different angles. Since there were two-seat D.VII around and the fin states D.VII, well.... Anyway nice to this photo. Stig

I believe this is B.I 125/15 The Halberstadt C types are rather obscure and except for the C.V no other military serialnumber or WNr is known for any of them. Stig

An Albatros C.I license built by Roland (the brandname of L.F.G.). This sample is C 643/15 of a series of 24 ordered in August 1915, serials C 640/15 - C 663/15. Given the marking on the side of the fuselage this was before the time that license built machines were marked after the serial in parentheses like C 643/15 (Rol). These further specifications were added sometime later.
