A Rumpler C.I with clearly readable Bestellnummer (Order number) on the rudder, C 4584/15. This was a machine from a batch of 150 Rumpler C.I machines, with numbers C 4515/15 - C 4664/15, ordered in December 1915. This was the fifth production order for the Rumpler C.I which was built in great numbers.

An Albatros C.I license built by Roland (the brandname of L.F.G.). This sample is C 643/15 of a series of 24 ordered in August 1915, serials C 640/15 - C 663/15. Given the marking on the side of the fuselage this was before the time that license built machines were marked after the serial in parentheses like C 643/15 (Rol). These further specifications were added sometime later.

This is a tricky one... Robert Casari states it was a D.VII and Peter Bowers says C.I Both of them researched US Archives from different angles. Since there were two-seat D.VII around and the fin states D.VII, well.... Anyway nice to this photo. Stig
