I did a search of www.findmypast.co.uk as well and found a reference to him leaving the country by sea in 1960 (presumably going on holiday as the destination was the Canaries) Born 31 July 1883 in Ireland. In December 1960 he gave his occupation as Priest. Clerk in Holy Orders. Address Old Pottery Cottage, Brede, Rye, Sussex.

Death records show Edward Robert Bredin was born 31st July 1883. He died within the registration district of Hastings & Rother, Sussex in 1977.

John Francis O'Ryan (August 21, 1874 - January 29, 1961) was Commanding General of the 27th Division during World War I. His years of service 1898-1920. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_F._O%27Ryan The 27th Infantry Division was a unit of the Army National Guard in World War I and World War II. The Division traces its history from the 6th Division, made up of New York units and formed in May 1917. The 6th Division designation was changed to the 27th Division in July 1917.
