  St Mary's hospital top left. Originally the Royal Hibernian Academy, it was opened in 1769. It became an Irish Army hospital in 1922. It was transferred to civilian use in 1948, and is now used for care of the elderly.

  What is even more interesting about this lovely shot is what is not there! The Trinity pavilion is still to be built, Civil Service sports ground is to come and the magnificent Memorial Park is yet to be built.
