    To the left is what is now (in 2010) "Cary Court"....what seems to be on the other end of it (some sort of shoe store?) is now where "Can-Can" restaurant is located. If this photo is truly indicative of the time & place then I think it's safe to assume that traffic just got worse along this street in the last 50 yrs (I know, not much of a surprise, right?).

    I think the single building in the ;pwer left is an ABC store It served the entire West End and was VERY busy. This must have been taken on a Sunday!
