Claude, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry N. Rahn, was born on January 18, 1885 in Baltimore, Maryland. He married Imogene Evelyn Bubbett in 1913 in Baltimore, Maryland. His second marriage was to Elizabeth Shearer in 1941. He died August 18, 1973 in Vero Beach, Florida.

Imogene, standing in the middle, was born on December 24, 1881 in Quincy, Illinois as the daughter of James Harper Bubbett & Evelyn Trickett Bubbett. She married Claude J. Rahn in 1913 and died on September 14, 1932 in Estero, Florida.

The Cape Cod Pilgrim Memorial Association built the Pilgrim Monument to honor the Pilgrims’ first landing in Provincetown. President Theodore Roosevelt laid the cornerstone in 1907. In 1910, President William Howard Taft dedicated the finished 252-foot tower. In 1910, the Cape’s first building built to house a museum opened at the base of the monument, to educate the public about Provincetown’s role in Pilgrim history and American history.
