    Because this process is final assembly, this Internet Archive page suggests the location shown is Toulouse, France. Since I cannot find pictures of this building in Toulouse, it might also be Paris and a (then) Hamburg, Federal Republic of Germany location.

    Comments welcomed. The white stuff looks like tacky mat used to pull all the dirt off your shoe soles in areas with contamination standards — like semiconductor plants. But I think it's something to do with leveling the assembly fixtures. They're doing something to shim the floor out so the assembly fixtures are perfectly level. There are some photos showing 5-gallon plastic buckets of whatever material is used.

    Modern manufacturing sites often get epoxy paint or some kind of concrete sealant. This floor doesn't look like it has gotten either.
