Launched 1885 in Belfast as the 'Polly Woodside' after owner, William Woodside's wife Polly. Renamed 'Rona by New Zealand owners in 1904. Operated in general cargo trade, initially to South America, then in Pacific trade until 1946. Restored in the 1970s, and now an attraction (as the 'Polly Woodside'), in the Melbourne Maritime Museum. [Above photo 1904 or later]. See: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polly_Woodside
