    Telamacatl, del Nahuatl= rueda de piedra. LA PIEDRA DE TÍZOC REPRESENTA LAS VICTORIAS DEL EMPERADOR Y FIESTAS DEDICADAS AL DIOS DEL FUEGO. Era un CUAUHXICALLI, sobre ella se ejecutaba el sacrificio del ejercicio gladiatorio; la víctima, atada sobre la piedra, con armas de plumas, debía defenderse de cuatro que le atacaban con armas de pedernal. La superficide lateral tiene una secuencia de 15 escenas, cada una conformada por un guerrero sometiendo a una deidad que personifica al señorío particularizado con un glifo toponímico. La secuencia está limitada por dos bandas horizontales, una arriba y otra abajo, que figuran respectivamente un cielo nocturno y un reptil terrestre. En forma desconcertante y como seña distintiva, una concavidad central y un profundo canal dañan la labra de la escultura, rompiendo en forma radial el disco solar de la cara superior y una de las escenas de conquista de la cara lateral.     Dating detail: swan necked lamp-post at left means after 1901 and tram electrification. No actual light on the lamp-post may mean it is during electrification works.
