Maurice C. Tanquary (LOC)

    "Maurice Tanquary taught entomology for several years at Kansas State Agricultural College before joining the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station in 1919 as chief of the division of entomology. Tanquary was interested in apiculture and resigned in 1923 to enter professional beekeeping in North Dakota. He later joined the University of Minnesota in apiculture and remained there until 1944.     Photo is dated in reverse, June 27, 1913, just before Professor Tanquary became a member of the ill-fated Crocker Land Expedition, an arctic exploring party.
