    Not sure about what the heading implies, but historically it is wrong. There is nothing 1st about the aircraft shown. Aeronca's first aircraft was the light aircraft built by Jean Roche and was after the establishment of the Company given the c/n A-1 and US civil registration 3774. It also served as the prototype for the C-2 version. What is shown is c/n A-668, a rather late production C-3 which was (still is?) preserved at the EAA Museum in Oshkosh. Stig
