a customer gestures the seller of this xmas-tree wants a crazy high price. (this must be an arraged scene, perhaps providing a picture next to an article on christmas-prices rocketing in general ;-)

(this must be an arraged scene, perhaps providing a picture next to an article on christmas-prices rocketing in general ;-) -- mijn moeder vertelt dat ze, in de net na-oorlogse tijd, wachtte met een kerstboompje kopen tot nét voor sluitingstijd op kerstavond. Dan waren de minkukels over, maar voor bijna niks. Misschien is dat nog wel zo, min of meer...

Sieger van Denneheuvel januari 2012 : The two little ones in the picture are Sieger and Philip van Denneheuvel and the mum overlooking the stroller (kinderwagen) is Marijke van Denneheuvel ( in 1964 Marijke Tonneman). We are very pleased to have this picture now in high resolution. We do have the picture as a newspaper clipping but never got to the original. The pictured stroller is of tank type strength and was used as an all purpose vehicle as can be seen
