  Qui sint, or Qui fuit? It only makes a difference to the tense. "That was Eli" or "Who was Eli", not necessarily a question.

  Nigel Leyland I agree with 'fuit'. 'Sunt' would be present plural, and that doesn't make sense with e.g. Amos.
