  Indicative of how museum appeared on Opening Day, 1980. Handwritten signs hanging on aircraft. No showcases or mannequins yet. Only barriers around aircraft were the 8-ft hinged 'trip bars' containing fluorescent tubes behind red translucent strips. Easily moved to accommodate respotting the exhibit floor. (Almost a daily exercise back then.)
