I noticed that the discs seemed to be packaged in 'books' - they're obviously 78s - and it prompted me to look up the origin of the term 'album'. As a big collector of vinyl I'm kind of embarrassed that I've never thought of this before, but of course the term album comes from these days when collections of 78s would be packaged into an 'album' of several discs because they could only hold at most four minutes of music per side. The term stuck even after the long playing 33 allowed numerous pieces to be recorded onto one single disc.

Yes this is the famous Bing Crosby White Christmas album. Released by Decca in 1945.

I noticed the box of chocolates. She maybe very sentimental; may have just had a breakup.

It looks like she's in an auditorium sitting on the edge of what would be a small stage. I think maybe a school. Besides being very pretty, she looks sad. I think it's a staged photo about what was, at that time, a popular sad or breakup song, like "Judy's Turn to Cry" and "It's My Party" these examples, I think, are a little too modern for this photo's date, but you get the idea.
