    This was the tenth Northrop YB-35 (s/n 42-102376) converted to be a testbed for a proposed photo-recon version of the B-49 (re-designated as the lone YRB-49A prototype -- company designation Model NS-41). It was powered by six Allison J35-A-19 jet engines (upgraded from the J35-A-5s in the earlier prototypes): four internally and two in pods under the wings. Performance was unimpressive compared to the YB-47, and the a/c was scrapped in Nov. 1953.
