Sources are vague to clarify the fact that the Arrowplane, I believe, was a completely different airframe, many photos of which exist. Unbelievably, the center section of the low-wing 'Whatsit' survives at the National Air and Space Museum in unrestored condition, which leads one to believe that NX12272 was never itself rebuilt as a high wing.

No This is the Waterman Arrowplane, just as it says on the photo. Stig
