    Seems this are two Santa Fe "Prairie Mallet" 1160 Class 2-6-6-2 Types, with rigid boiler. The boiler extension / preheater section on the left engine has seperated at impact. They were delivered by Baldwin in 1910 so were brand new then. One number board displays "1161" , on the other only "116 " is visible.

    Since these are Santa Fe engines, the location given is incorrect. It's extremely unlikely that any railroad would be using articulated locomotives in northeast Texas.
