Fokker never used the designations F.8 or F.9 for the Universals. These aircraft were called Universal or Super Universal only. The Super Universal is sometimes reported as the Model 8 but never F.8. The F.9 was another three-engined project which never left the drawing board. Beside that it is not very likely (if designations had been used) that the initial model would be F.9 and its development the F.8 Stig
