This looks like 44-15652. Info from Joe Baughers website. 44-15652, P-51D, WR-E, (354th FS, 355th FG, 8th AF, "Weepin' Deacon III") in takeoff accident at RAF Steeple Morden, Cambridgeshire Dec 8, 1944. Pilot survived, aircraft badly damaged. Must have been repaired, since to Haiti AF in 1950

Info from Joe Baughers website has this aircraft as being lost in 1944 which is probably wrong. 44-72253, P-51D, (354th FS, 355th FG, 8th AF, "Big Gas Bird") collided in midair with P-51D 44-14346 and crashed 3 mi E of Sudbury, UK Jun 2, 1944. Pilot survived, but aircraft was destroyed. Joe Baugher probably wrong as American Air Museum in Britain has the date as Jun2 1945.
