By any chance would you have record of a Mennonite Church that was in Port Huron, Michigan around 1900 and earlier? it was later (maybe 1903-1908 or so) broken down into two halves, and both halves where added on to houses in Port Huron...I know where half of it is, but have been trying to locate where the other half went...and what the church originally looked like? Any help would be appreciated:) thank you.

kristy Interesting question - thank you! I did a little looking and can tell you that the only counties in Michigan that had Mennonite settlements before 1879 were St. Joseph County, Branch County and Kent County. I find no reference of a Mennonite Church in Port Huron for the dates you mention. There was a United Missionary Church presence in Port Huron at that time, however, as early as 1903. This link will take you to a short article that describes the Michigan Conference of the United Missionary Church: gameo.org/index.php?title=Michigan_Conference_of_the_Miss... If you are interested in pursuing this you could contact the Missionary Church Archives: www.bethelcollege.edu/library/archives/mcarchives/ Hopefully this is helpful for you!
