This is a photo of a US Air Force McDonnell Douglas F-4C (F-4C-19-MC) Phantom (USAF Ser. No. 63-7569, Construction Number c/n 582) which overran the runway at Cam Ranh Bay in the Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam) in or about 1965. This F-4 Phantom would eventually be repaired and serve with the US Air Force well into the mid-1980s (sent to the AMARC "boneyard" on March 12, 1987 as "FP0045").
