Converted to US-2B. 1977: NAS Lemoore Base Flight as 704. 1981: NARTU Lemoore, CA as 7S-704. 12/16/1982: Struck off charge at NAS Fallon, NV. ………………………………………………………. Sold on the civilian market. July 1, 1985. FAA registration N416DF issued. Became fire bomber number 96 with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Prevention. October 5, 1998. Crashed near Banning, CA. Pilot was killed. N416DF was destroyed in a fire fighting accident on October 5, 1998, and pilot Gary Nagel, was killed.
