Another Junkers 88 G-6 Wnr 623998 U5+DT of V/NJG 2. It carries the code U5 from its former unit (KG 2) and it seems V./NJG 2 used this unit code to the end. Stig

Parked on the edge of the Munich-Salzburg Autobahn, Hofoldinger Forst. Accounted for 12 May 1945, seen here at the Brunnthal collecting point, Fall 1945.

Thanks for the updates Marc (goes for the other pics as well). I guess nothing to do in Switzerland either, except dodging the Corona virus.?... :-) Take Care (goes for you too Alan) Stig

So are we.... so are we Marc :-( If the "final" promise is true from our Government everyone 65+ will get their (read our) first stab before mid May. Nothing in Sweden to compare with "Speedy" Biden. Before I get my 2nd shot everyone in USA have probably already got theirs. Yes take good care Marc (and Alan) :-) Stig

5595 is ATG fuselage number, A3 is A-3 LT (Torpedo bomber) and S standsfor assrmbled by Siebel/Schkauditz (same airfield where DHL has Cargo hub now) Full designation is Ju 188 A-3 LT /cuto (cable cutters on nose and built in wings), and may even have been Trop (Tropicalized). White "wave mirror" suggests plane was one of them from III/KG 26 (Norway) and some of these were flown via Courland to Germany 08.05.1945 - and surrendered to US/British forces.
