USAAF Ser. no. 43-15384 (c/n 19850) was actually a Douglas C-47A (C-47A-80-DL). This aircraft would be lost on January 22, 1945, approximately 50-miles from Luliang, China. All four crew bailed out of the aircraft, with three being rescued and one never seen again. See: aviation-safety.net/database/record.php?id=19450122-6

Hi Alan Can I please ask for a high resolution scan of this AAC.1? I am trying to determine if it really is No 038 or not. My e-mail is still sjarlevik at telia.com Also is there anything which ties this photo with either a place or year? Thanks for all help Stig
