Caption: The delegates from our Indian Mennonite churches convened at Dhamtari in special session to consider stewardship in our churches and the best procedure for the support of pastors. They decided to support all pastors through a central fund and they are expecting all members to tithe no less than 1/20 of their income. John Friesen and Ernest Miller were the only Europeans present.

Caption: Members of the church in India who do not have money to give in the church offerings take a handful of rice, wheat, or corn and put it aside for the Lord, each time they prepare a meal. This they then give in the offering. Hear Evangelist Manohar Khakha and a lay member are weighing the grain. This will be sold and the money put into the church fund.
