    Lindbergh wrote about meeting these men when he came to San Diego to discuss building this plane in his book We and The Spirit of St. Louis. BF Mahoney had already purchased Ryan Aircraft and Ryan himself had little to do with the building of the Spirit of St Louis.     My great grandfather is Oliver McNeel. I did a project on him when I was in 8th grade. I had a copy of his pilot license signed by Orville Wright. If anyone has anymore information about O.R McNeel that would be appreciated
