    actually, this is a McDonnell Douglas AV-8B. The bulge on the nose is the night vision camera, which is an indicator that it's not an AV-8A. The canopy is another indicator, as is the fact that this is marked as an aircraft belonging to VMA-211. They were flying A-4 Skyhawks when the AV-8A was in service. By the way, I'm a big fan of all the photos that the SDASM has posted! I'm also a fan of the museum... I was able to visit back in the 90's.
