Great photo of a Sd.Kfz.251/9 with 10.SS Panzer-Division Frundsberg 'F' insignia. It most likely belonged to Kampfverband Schulze and knocked out or abandoned not far from 29th Troop Carrier Squadron's Achiet airbase (between 4 km west of Bapaume). A very interesting album of photos. The German half track on the left appears to be a Sd.Kfz.251/3. Behind it is the remains of a wrecked Sd.Kfz.251/9. On the right a Sd.Kfz.250/3 or 5 radio vehicle and another wrecked Sd.Kz.251/9 behind it. These SPW most likely belonged to 10.SS Panzer-Division's Kampfverband Schulze, and seen not far from 29th Troop Carrier Squadron's Achiet airbase (between 4 km west of Bapaume). Oh yes! You don't often display technology and this one is a cracker. How many young people today would know the intricacies of the starting handle! Incidentally the young man holding the handle should keep his thumb on the other side because if the engine kicks back it could save him from a broken thumb:-) Super shot and really worth preserving in its own right!
