  Frieles eksotiske kaffepaviljong vakte stor oppmerksomhet på Landsutstillingen i 1898. Sammen med baker Martens ble den mauriske paviljong bygd; kaffe og kaker hadde for lengst fått fast følge i såvel dagligliv som selskapsliv. Gjestene i den mauriske paviljong fikk ikke bare smake kaffen, men kunne ta med seg "porselens"-koppen; nærmere hundre tusen kopper ble spredt sammen med smaksprøvene.

  @perlesli: the pavillon was placed in the Nygårds Park as were most of the other pavillons. Judging from the picture it was located on the flat part of the park, not far from today´s duck-pond.
