McDonnell F-4D-29-MC Phantom II 66-0275 in the 15th TFW 9th AF 836th AD @ MacDill AFB ca. '66. Later lost to AAA over Cambodia w/ both crewmembers on 27 May 70.

McDonnell Aircraft Corp. made no less than three F-4Ds with the last three tail numbers of "765" in less than two years... a pox on whichever bureaucrat allowed that to happen!! This is probably F-4D-31-MC Phantom II 66-7765 of the AFRES' 704th TFS 924th TFW @ Carswell AFB, TX. But it could also be F-4D-32-MC Phantom II 66-8765. You pick.

Actually an F-4C (Block 24) 64-0857 FJ-857 and likely at RAF Bentwaters, Suffolk, UK around 1965 (it's in SEA camouflage by Feb '66.- see flic.kr/p/rzijhG )

Yep, good catch. First D (-24) model was 64-0929. FJ-857 served w/ the 91st TFS 81st TFW @ RAF Bentwaters / Woodbridge before being transferred to Madrid.
