    The c/n was of course 1, the 2788 on the fin is its former civil registration, which Batman knows. I must say I doubt all the other civil registrations stated for it since the aircraft flew for the first time on July 4th, 1927 and the Dole race was planned for August 12th, and even if it was delayed four days, I doubt why either Lockheed or Hearst would keep the FAA busy constantly changing its registration. Makes no sense to me. Stig
