Straight furrows

Is this a competition at an agricultural show or a demonstration of a new disc?

cumberlandclouds, if you click on the Persistent URL above you'll read: "The image depicts a strip of furrowed land. The image appears to have been taken at an agricultural show. The strip of furrowed land is depicted in the centre of the image and extends from the foreground to the background. A three-horse plough can be seen ploughing the strip in the background of the image. Three horses were usually required for double-furrow ploughs. Similar three-horse ploughs can be seen in the background on the left side and right sides of the image. Crowds of people can be seen standing at the ends of the strips in the background of the image." Read more: www.powerhousemuseum.com/collection/database/?irn=27780#i...
