this is some historical stuff!!!!! Which existed first for women in war. Us or Canada?

The previous commenter asks if Us or Canada had women in war first (As she is American presumably it doesn't matter if she meant "us" or "US" as both would be appropriate). In WW2 the answer is very definitely Canada as they entered the war 2 years ahead of the USA. In WW1 there was a similar situation. Women have, of course, been involved in war since time began - often as combatants whereas in WW2 Canadian and US servicewomen were employed only in non combatant roles.
