    Modern lamps are more attractive. As for the dress, it is unlikely that it was made in a factory. Most of the cloths were made at home, or bought from a dressmaker, who made them in her home. When I was young, and a starving teacher, my wife made everything our girls wore and a lot of what the boys wore. She also made her own clothes and sometimes even something like a shirt for me.

    Josephine Campion married Albert Henry Robinson in 1932. You can tell it is her as her father is Jeremiah, a school attendance officer as in the 1911 census.
