    Given the wealth of information the SDASM has regarding Ryan, those who worked there and who went on to other aviation companies and projects, you should contact their staff regarding any other additional materials they might have concerning your grandfather.

    Lindbergh wrote about meeting these men when he came to San Diego to discuss building this plane in his book We and The Spirit of St. Louis. BF Mahoney had already purchased Ryan Aircraft and Ryan himself had little to do with the building of the Spirit of St Louis.
