    The photos in Charles Rector's album relate to a ferry flight of 5 B-25s to the Dutch East Indies in 1942 which could not proceed past Bangalore, india,due to Japanese advances. The 5 B-25s were transferred to the British and reportedly converted for Photo-Reconnaissance. The photo lower left includes a G.A. Monospar transport aircraft read as VT-ADV which belonged to the Karachi Aero Club in WWII.The signage on the gate and bus in the lower right photo reads British Airways ...although the national airline became British Overseas Airways Corporation from early 1940 the shorter title 'British Airways' was much used on aircraft and in publicity right up to 1946, which displeased some ex-employees of Imperial Airways which had been forced to merge with the 'upstart' pre-war British Airways Ltd
